A plant dyed quilt inspired by the moody British weather and the changing light.

Iron and milk have been painted on parts of the fabric to create a painterly effect.. A lovely wonky border with lovely wonky hand stitching.

It’s 90cm by 130cm which is the perfect sofa snuggle size or looks lovely on the end of a single bed. 

It’s a really special quilt and I hope it goes to a home where it’s loved.

Top - 100% linen dead stock. Hand dyed and hand painted with sumac and avocado. Machine pieced and hand appliqued.

100% cotton wadding

Back - Machine pieced plant dyed and painted deadstock linens.

The uneveness in the dye is intentional and should not be considered a defect. Handwash only in cool water using a plant based detergent such as ecover. Dry out of direct sunlight. Plant dyes will change and fade over time.
