Each kit includes:

• 30cm square of white linen

• 2 dark grey wool felt rectangles

• Dark grey and white embroidery floss

• 2 rectangles of black card for composition practise

The class "Exploring Positive and Negative Space" focuses on understanding the relationship between filled and empty spaces in textile design. By learning reverse appliqué techniques, participants explore how to balance different elements within a composition, paying attention to what is removed as much as what remains. This process allows for a deeper engagement with concepts of form, depth, and contrast.

Students will develop their creative voice by practicing intentional design placement, gaining insights into using unconventional shapes harmoniously.
