Stitch Doodle Session- online workshop
This is a low pressure, one hour stitch session designed to help you get your hands moving again.
If you have been feeling stuck, unsure where to begin, or simply in need of a quiet creative pause, this is a space to return to the rhythm of making.
We will work in a very open and intuitive way, responding stitch by stitch, shape by shape. There is no fixed outcome. Instead, we will follow small decisions and see where they lead.
During the session I will gently guide you through:
placing simple shapes using needle turn appliqué
attaching fabric using boro-inspired stitching
using basic embroidery stitches as a form of mark making
This is not about making a finished piece. It is about loosening up, exploring, and reconnecting with your materials.
You might find yourself:
working with scraps you have been saving
layering small shapes
building texture through repeated stitches
allowing one stitch to suggest the next
It is a way of working that is quiet, responsive, and often surprising.
This session is as much for me as it is for you. A chance to step out of a creative rut and back into something more playful and instinctive.
You are very welcome to come exactly as you are, whether you feel inspired or not.
